The singer Anitta, the most popular in Brazil today, will debut as an actress in the seventh season of the Spanish series “Elite”, which is in the production phase, the Netflix platform announced Thursday.
Anitta was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the last Grammy Awards.
Last year, she became the first Brazilian solo artist to reach the number one spot on global Spotify with the song “Envolver”, which went viral on social networks around the world.
The cast of “Elite” is made up of André Lamoglia, Valentina Zenere, Álvaro de Juana, Carmen Arrufat, Álex Pastrana, Ana Bokesa, Ander Puig, Nadia Al Saidi and Omar Ayuso.
They are joined this season by other actors such as Maribel Verdú, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Mirela Bali?, Fernando Líndez, Gleb Abrosimov, Iván Mendes and Alejandro Albarracín. EFE
