Chances of India-Pakistan, India-China Conflicts: US Intelligence | US intel community fears increased India-Pakistan, India-China tension and conflict

Washington: The US intelligence agency has filed a report in the country’s parliament that there is a possibility of a conflict between India and Pakistan and between India and China.

The director of the United States’ National Intelligence Service has filed a report in this regard in the country’s parliament. Its description: “The conflict that occurred on the India-China border in 2020 was an event that had not happened in many decades. This has created a difficult situation between the two countries. Although India and China have been engaged in talks over the border issue, relations between the two countries remain strained even though the issues have been resolved at some centres.

Currently, both countries have increased their forces in the unsettled border areas between India and China. Past events have proven that small-scale incidents in border control areas can erupt into conflict. Both are nuclear weapon states. In this case, increasing the forces on the border has increased the risk of conflict. It could pose a threat to US interests. Therefore, the US government should intervene.

Similarly, the tension between India and Pakistan is also increasing. Pakistan has a long history of sending terrorist groups against India. The Narendra Modi-led government is more likely to respond harshly to such provocations by Pakistan than in the past. Hence, tension has increased between the two countries. This could increase violence and tension in Kashmir. It can also lead to terrorist attacks in India,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, talks between Pakistan and the United States have started to prevent terrorism. US government spokesperson Ned Price said that during the two-day talks, cooperation between the various organizations of the two countries in the prevention of terrorism, assessment of regional terrorism prevention, and cyber security were discussed.

He said that the United States has expressed its willingness to work with Pakistan in countering the threat of terrorism and that both sides have shared views on ensuring regional security.
