Sa’ar blames the government for the attack: “You failed, go home”

by time news

Member of Knesset Gideon Sa’ar commented on the serious shooting attack on Dizingoff Street in Tel Aviv that happened this evening (Thursday). In a tweet he uploaded to Twitter, he attacked the current government and accused it of the attack.

“I wish recovery to those injured in the attack in Tel Aviv and strengthen the police in their work,” he wrote. “They promised security, but they brought terror. Much more terror that strikes us in Jerusalem, Samaria, Tel Aviv.

They show helplessness in the face of our enemies. They reserve the cruelty for their own people, for patriotic demonstrators. They demand a “hard hand” towards them. You failed – go home!

Knesset member Merav Michaeli also attacked the government and accused it of a war on protesters instead of a war on terrorism: “We have to admit the truth: this government has neglected the fight against terrorism. It sanctifies the fight against protests. Instead of fighting the enemies – it fights the protesters.”

“When ministers call half the people “terrorists”, no wonder they are not fighting real terrorism like the one that struck Tel Aviv this evening. Very dangerous government. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. It’s time to restore confidence.”
