To celebrate 24 years of the Hyundai Caoa partnership, the group confirms the launch of five electrified models in Brazil over the next three years. Among the novelties are: Kona Hybrid, Kona electric, Ioniq Hybrid and new Tucson. See the details of each vehicle.

Hyundai Kona Hybrid

The Hyundai Kona Hybrid is a hybrid SUV imported from South Korea and should be the first model to arrive. The SUV features a 1.6 GDI engine and an electric one, which together deliver 141 hp with a torque of 27 kgfm. The transmission is a six-speed automatic. Regarding consumption, the model promises 19.6 km/l in the city and 17.4 km/l on the road.

Hyundai Kona EV

The Hyundai Kona EV is the 100% electric version that has also been confirmed for Brazil. Sold globally, the crossover arrives in Brazil with a 136hp engine with a torque of 40.3 kgfm. The batteries are 39.2 kWh, which gives a range of up to 252 kilometers, according to Inmetro.

The model comes equipped with electric steering, electric parking brake with
AutoHold, front seats in premium material with electrical adjustments, heating and ventilation, engine with push-button start, 10.25-inch instrument panel and multimedia with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connection, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant, assistant Lane Control and Collision Alert, among others.

Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid

First launched only for the corporate market through a subscription system, the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid will be sold in Brazil. Globally, it is the great competitor of the Toyota Prius whose new generation was registered in the country. The model has a bold look and is 4.47 m long and has a wheelbase of 2.70 m. The trunk has a capacity of 443 liters.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid has a 1.6 liter GDi engine and an electric one, which together deliver 141 hp with 27 kgfm of torque. Consumption is 18.9 km/l on the urban stretch and 18.8 km/l on the road stretch.

The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid comes equipped with electric steering, paddle shift on the steering wheel and steering column with height and depth adjustments, electric parking brake with Autohold, seats covered in premium material leather with electric adjustments and lumbar adjustment on the driver’s seat, engine with push-button start, bluetooth with voice command, driving modes, multimedia with 10.25 inches with connection to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch instrument panel, among others.

Hyundai New Tucson

The Hyundai New Tucson brings the automaker’s new visual update with new LED headlights, bumpers and 18-inch wheels. Inside, it has a new instrument panel and a 9-inch multimedia center with connection to smartphones.

The SUV, which has been produced in Brazil since 2010 (two generations behind the current one), did not have the engine revealed, but can be equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine with 295 hp or with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine with 200 hp.

Hyundai HR 4WD

Manufactured in Anápolis, Goiás, the Hyundai HR will gain a 4WD version, which brings four-wheel drive. Because of this, it will have 2WD and 4WD traction selection. The urban truck is also equipped with DRL, ESC, instrument panel with 3.5-inch display, among other items.

The Hyundai HR 4WD has a load capacity of 1,789 kg and is equipped with a 2.5 liter turbodiesel engine with 130 hp and 26 kgfm of torque.
