Old man beaten to death for having beef

Naseem Qureshi is a 55-year-old man from Hasanpur village in Siwan district of Bihar. He was on his way to the nearby Jogia village last Tuesday with his relative youth Parosh Qureshi.

Then, a mob intercepted Naseem and Porosh near an Islamic place of worship in Jogia village. Also, the gang got into an argument with the two, suspecting that they were in possession of cow meat.

After the argument, the gang attacked Naseem and Porosh with a rolling stick they were holding. Shocked by this, Porosh ran away from the gang.

However, the mob surrounded Naseem and severely assaulted him and later handed him over to the police. Police admitted Naseem who was handed over to the police with serious injuries.

Naseem Qureshi, an elderly man who was admitted to the hospital, succumbed to his injuries. Suhil Singh, Ravi Shah and Ujwal Sharma, who beat up the old man on suspicion of possessing cow meat, were arrested and jailed by the police who registered a case in connection with the incident. Also, they are investigating the incident.
