Rescue Commandos rescues an abandoned lady

Zacatecoluca, La Paz. A 73-year-old woman was rescued this Thursday afternoon by lifeguards from Comandos de Salvamento, in the Santa Isabel El Pedregal neighborhood, in Rosario de La Paz, after being alerted about the abandonment of the septuagenarian.

Sources from the humanitarian relief institution reported that the victim, identified as Ana Cristina Palacios Germán, apart from being abandoned, presented severe malnutrition.

Due to this condition, Mrs. Ana Cristina received the necessary attention and was later taken to the Santa Teresa de Zacatecoluca Hospital, to receive medical attention.

Comandos de Salvamento has called on the relatives of Mrs. Palacios Germán to come to the hospital in order to take care of her.

However, upon seeing the physical deterioration of Mrs. Ana Cristina, they decided to call the Police at 911, from where they contacted the Rescue Commandos for help, said a source from the humanitarian institution.

The lifeguards agreed to collect clothing and food to deliver to Mrs. Ana Cristina at the Hospital, the sources added.
