British artist Harrison Marshall turned a waste container into a house to save himself from rent. Social media has now taken over Harrison’s container-built home. Harrison Tanre took to social media to share pictures of his container home in central London with the caption, “A place to live for the next year”.
There is barely room for just one person in the house. But it has almost all the amenities a small house needs. It has a bed, a kitchen area with a sink and a stove, a place to store clothes, and a small fridge.
The house has been modified with wooden frame work. The roof is arched. The sleeping area is arranged upstairs. The total area of the house is 25 square meters and a ladder with three steps is used to enter the house. Skip House is written on the outside of the container. The house has also got electricity connection. The only drawback is that the house does not have a flush toilet system and bathroom. Harrison says that if you put your mind to it, there is a lot of potential to build a house at a low cost and that is the goal behind building this house.
