Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will be received at the Elysée Palace on Monday March 13 by Emmanuel Macron, according to a statement released by the Elysée Palace on Friday. The two leaders will take part in a working dinner as part of the preparation for the European Council on 23 and 24 March.
According to the presidency, they will address in particular the issues of support for Ukraine, the strengthening of European competitiveness, energy and support for the European defense industry. The Elysée specifies that questions of the rule of law will also be discussed, while the Hungarian government is regularly in conflict with Brussels on the subject.
