Fair Electoral Procedures: 3rd International Conference

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has organized its 3rd International Conference on “Fair Electoral Practice”.

Fair Election Conference was held yesterday to share its knowledge, technical expertise and experiences with other democratic countries of the world.

59 representatives of 31 countries/election management bodies including Angola, Armenia, Australia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, Dominica, Georgia, Guyana, Kenya, Korea, Mauritius, Moldova, Norway, Philippines, Portugal participated in this conference through video.

Prior to this, in January this year, the Election Commission of India held its 2nd Conference on ‘Use of Technology and Fair Electoral Procedure’ in Delhi. More than 40 delegates from 16 countries participated in this.

The 2nd Summit for Democracy is scheduled to be held on March 29-30, and the Election Commission has conducted this international conference as a preview.
