The first training session for leaders and representatives of neighborhood associations and territorial organizations of the Guanaqueros resort, was carried out by professionals from the Projects Unit of the Municipal Delegation of the sector, to inform about the process of calling and applying for the competitive funds that made available to the Regional Government and the Regional Government Ministerial Secretariat (Segegob) for this 2023, intended to finance projects and initiatives of community benefit.
The representatives of the neighborhood associations, agreed to this face-to-face training at the El Costino Sports Club, an occasion in which they were able to learn about the bases of application, phases of the process, documents required for the application and lines of action of the Government Fund. Regional, which this year covers the areas of culture, sports, citizen security, social, environment, children’s bands and orchestras – youth, child care, adolescence, youth and the elderly.
Likewise, the Fund for the Strengthening of Public Interest Organizations (FFOIP) that allows financing initiatives whose purpose is the promotion of the general interest in issues such as citizen rights, social assistance, education, health, environment or any other common good.
The social leaders valued the meeting promoted by the local Municipality through the Delegation inserted in the territory, which delivered the essential theoretical knowledge for the formulation of projects, in order to facilitate the application for competitive funds available for non-profit organizations. profit.
“I found it very educational, since many of the participants who were there did not even know about these projects, so with all this information we were very well informed and the possibility of being able to approach the Delegation in case of any doubt opens up for us,” Jorge indicated. Camilo Zambra, in charge of the project of the Municipal Delegation of Guanaqueros, highlighted the participation of the community in the instance and the importance for the organizations to apply for these funds that the State makes available, “We had a great presence of both functional and territorial organizations, neighborhood associations and older adults. We are happy that they have come to participate and find out what is coming this year 2023 in terms of competitive funds and also the FFOIP, the idea is to excite and call on them to address their problems through a project and attract the necessary capital to solve them in the territory”.
For his part, Rodrigo Belmar, Municipal Delegate of Guanaqueros, added that “For Mayor Ali Manouchehri, the leaders play a fundamental role, therefore our task is to guide and guide them so that they can access all the resources that the State has provided for them and thus achieve a better quality of life for their communities and the sectors they represent. It is the instance that we have to leverage both public and private resources, which is why we are also working to advise organizations so that they keep their documentation and legal status up to date.”
With this training, the organizations of the territory will be able to begin the formulation of their projects to present them for application during the months of March and April, a process that will be supported and accompanied by the technical team of the Municipal Delegation of Guanaqueros.
