The culture department of the Emek Jezreel Regional Council, headed by Racheli Avidov from Moshav Nahalel, has closed the list of shows and events for the Milk and Honey Festival that will take place on 5/18-5/27/2023. Maya Vogel is responsible for foster management.

“The milk and honey festival that takes place every year fits into a beautiful season in the valley – nature celebrates and with it the whole valley. It is a great privilege to lead this dizzying abundance,” said Racheli Avidov, director of the council’s culture department.

The festival, which celebrates its 22nd birthday this year, is the largest and most significant cultural event of the valley and the entire region, which attracts thousands of people from all over the country every year. The advantage of the festival is in the performances unique only to it, in which the best creators and performers in Israel appear, as well as the diverse activities that take place at the tourist and heritage sites in the valley.

The main shows by Makor Productions on the occasion of the 22nd celebration of the festival are: ‘Electricity in the Valley’ – Berry Sakharof in a festive performance with Avitar Banai and Mark Eliyahu; ‘If this is life’ – Keren Pels in a festive performance with special guests: Arkady Duchin and Neta Barzilai; Lilly & Lola Marsh two shows in one night; Hami Rodner in an acoustic show; and the Hebrew Shoshana D – Shurat Shoshana Demari.

More at the festival: a dance celebration – three festive dance performances and a huge dance, a rich dance show with the participation of 16 dance troupes from all over the country; Shavuot night repairs; The Valley Artists Exhibition – dozens of artists from the Valley present their works in the foyer of the hall and in the Mivarh Gallery in Hardorf; The story of Natan Yonatan’s life and work in collaboration with the “Nigun Halab” community; A national celebration of accordions with the top musicians in Israel; Jezreel wine fair at the historic Valley Railway in Kfar Yehoshua with the produce of ‘Emek Yin’ wineries – the joint wineries brand of the Jezreel Valley.

Shows and performances for the whole family that will be held at the festival: the children’s show ‘Caramel’ by the Orna Forat Theater, the Asphalt Theater, Malox in Tel Adashim and in the Galilee, the children’s show ‘In the Beehive’ at the Ein Dor Museum, Jordan Bar Kochva-Halperin and Didi Shahar host Alon Olarchik and the participants The show ‘Be a child’ – the show will be recorded and broadcast on GLC.

Also at the tourist and heritage sites in the Jezreel Valley, a variety of activities will await visitors at the attractions, wineries, agricultural tourism sites, museums, galleries, fairs and tours throughout the Jezreel Valley.

The head of the Jezreel Valley Regional Council, Eyal Betzer, said before the festival: “The ‘Milk and Honey’ festival takes place when the bundles of grain decorate the wheat fields, the sunflowers bloom in bright yellow, the vineyards are full of fruit, the corn fields are green and our magical valley is abundant with its yield and wears a holiday. Join us and come enjoy a celebration of agriculture and nature in the flavor of Emek-Jezreali”.
