Rashford and coach Ten Haag named Premier League Player of the Month for February

London: The English Premier League has announced the best player and coach for February 2023. Manchester United won both these awards. Marcus Rashford was chosen as the best player and Eric ten Haag as the coach.

Rashford played four matches in the Premier League in February and scored five goals. Rashford’s goals were scored against Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Leicester City. With this, Rashford was able to reach the record of winning the most Player of the Month awards in one season in the Premier League.

Rashford equaled the record set by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the 2017-2018 season. Rashford won the award for the third time this season. Rashford won the award in September 2022 and January 2023.

United coach Erik ten Haag has won the manager of the month award for the second time this season. United went on an unbeaten run in February. The team has three wins and one draw in four matches. Ten Haag is also the manager who won United’s first title since 2017. Ten Haag and his team recently won the English Football League (Carabao Cup) title.

Ten Haag won the best coach award in September 2022 as well. United also won the best save award. United’s goalkeeper David De Gea’s save was voted the best save. Hia won the award for saving Kalechi Iheanacho’s shot against Leicester City.

Fulham’s winger Willian won the award for the best goal on the strength of his stunning goal against Nottingham Forest. This is also the first award won by Willian this season.
