On Friday evening, a Southeast Styrian came off the road near St. Stefan in the Rosental. The accident that followed resulted in a total loss of the vehicle. One of the two occupants had to be taken to the hospital.

The fire brigade raced to Trössendorf near Lichendorf (municipality of St. Stefan im Rosental): There they were called to a traffic accident with smoke development around 6 p.m. on Friday. When they got there, no fire had broken out, but they found a car that was just a wreck. Luckily, the airbags deployed, which prevented worse things from happening. The driver went off the road, because there were two people in the car. The south-east Styrian driver and his passenger were heading towards Hof near Kirchberg when they suddenly left the road. They then crashed head-on into a raised tree trunk in the adjacent forest! One person was injured, others escaped in shock. The force caused them to skid, and the vehicle stopped in the ditch. Witnesses heard the scene, sounded the alarm and immediately took care of the victims. One of the two was taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree, the second person escaped with abrasions and a shock. The Lichendorf and St. Stefan im Rosental fire brigades then recovered the completely damaged car. The road was completely closed during the entire operation.
