Almost three million drivers have already joined the Brazilian National Registry of Positive Drivers (RNPC), active since last October and whose objective is to value good practices in traffic and reward those who respect the rules.
To participate in this program it is essential that the driver has not committed any offense in the last 12 months. If you meet this requirement, you must download the Digital Transit Card (CDT) application or access the Services Portal of the National Transit Secretariat (Senatran).
The benefit is both for the user who joins the initiative and for the collaborating entities. The driver receives, for example, discounts or fee waivers, advantages in car rental and insurance contracting, or discounts on tolls and parking fees. For their part, the public and private partners of the initiative receive the “Good Driver Partner” seal, which they can display on products and advertising campaigns.
Anyone with a gov.br account can verify if the holder of a given National Driver’s License (CNH) is a good driver, provided they have authorized the inclusion of their data in the Positive Registry.
The RNPC undergoes periodic controls, in such a way that it will be deactivated if special circumstances occur, such as a new infraction, the suspension of the driving license or its expiration. It will also be suspended if the driver is serving a sentence.
