A pub believed to be Britain’s strangest has been put up for sale by its owners. The Crooked House on Himley Road is one of 61 pubs put up for sale by Marston’s PLC.
The sale is part of a nationwide shift in strategy for the Wolverhampton-based company, which owns around 1,500 pubs across the UK.
Since the 18th century, the building has been a popular attraction in the region, with visitors wanting to see the crooked construction.
This was built in 1765 as a farmhouse, but due to mining in the area in the early 19th century, part of the building began to sink.
