CHENNAI: In order to improve the livelihood of transgenders, the ‘Trans Tea Stall’ project has been started in Railways.

Meanwhile, in order to improve the livelihood of transgender people, a ‘Trans tea stall’ has been started for the first time at Guwahati railway station in the state of Assam, on behalf of the transgender organization, with the permission of the railways.

Regarding this, the railway officials said: Railways is taking steps to make the spaces in the railway stations useful.
For setting up such stalls, interested transgenders can submit their application form at Railway Zonal Offices. Depending on its response, the Railways has decided to expand this program in other railway zones.
