Dubai: Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and the world’s fourth richest man, visits the Expo 2020 Dubai venue. Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashimi, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, received Bill Gates.

For twenty minutes he visited the projects in the Expo Live Pavilion and sought information. Bill Gates was fascinated by a number of projects, including Norway’s project to help agriculture and dessert control. He also visited the Sustainability Pavilion. He appealed to the world to expedite the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 commitments. He reminded that the time limit is only eight years. Bill Gates said Kovid was going through a difficult phase of the struggle and therefore needed to make more efforts to make the distribution of vaccines more effective.

Holidays three days a week in Sharjah

Sharjah: A three-day weekend has been declared for government agencies in Sharjah. Holidays are available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Ali, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah The decision was made on the advice of Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi (Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi). Following the assessments, the decision was announced by the Sharjah Executive Council.

The new decision will take effect from January 1. The working hours for government employees have been increased from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm on working days. Authorities in Sharjah have decided to extend the working day to four, with another holiday on Friday. Meanwhile, the government has announced that the weekend holiday in the government sector in the UAE will be shifted to Saturday and Sunday. The working hours in the government sector will be from Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 3:30 am and on Friday from 7.30 am to 12 noon. Friday will be a holiday from noon to Sunday. The new schedule will come into effect on January 1, 2022. Friday, which is currently a weekend holiday, will now be a working day from 7.30 am to 12 noon.
