by time news
Uthandi: Choshinganallur Mandal, Ward 197, East Coast Road Uthandi has 227 streets, 5,500 houses. There is Buckingham Canal. In this ward, sewage connection is not provided.

Due to this, there is high production of ‘Q Lex’ mosquitoes in the ward, which spread elephantiasis and are produced in waste water.

To prevent this infection, the pipes connected to the waste water tanks should be fitted with mosquito nets. The municipal administration insisted that the respective house owners do this, but they did not build it.

Thus, on behalf of the health department, NUML, with its employees, is constructing mosquito nets in the waste water pipes of every house. In this way, mosquito nets have been constructed in 1,240 houses like cottages and bungalows.

Through this, the production of disease-spreading mosquitoes can be prevented, officials said.
