President Sadyr Japarov was informed of a fight involving MP Zhanybek Abirov on 12 March. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Erbol Sultanbayev.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs was instructed to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the incident. This behavior does not meet the ethical standards of a civil servant of this rank,” wrote Sultanbaev.
A fight involving Abirov took place in Bishkek near a restaurant on Elebaev Street. After the fight, the victim turned to the police with a statement, saying that he had been beaten by an unknown person.
The victim went to the National Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury.
The fact was registered in the register of information of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Oktyabrsky district and a forensic medical examination was appointed. The police added that all participants in the incident have been identified.
