Last night, Israel time, the 95th Academy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles, hosted for the third time by comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
As you remember, the candidates in the various categories were already revealed in January by the actors Alison Williams (“Escape”) and Riz Ahmed (“The Night of the Event”). The film “Everything everywhere at once” which was nominated in 11 different categories was the big winner of the ceremony, picking up no less than seven awards. The actor Austin Butler, who was nominated for the Oscar for the first time in the best actor category for his performance in the movie “Elvis”, lost to Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) who returned to the screen after a long absence.

During the ceremony, performances were also combined: Lady Gaga performed the theme song of “Love in the Sky: Maverick”, and Rihanna also gave a performance of the theme song of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, both incidentally lost in the category of best original song to the song “Nato Nato” from the movie RRR .
