Pfizer’s booster vaccine protects against omigran

by time news

Three doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine are reported to protect people from the Omicron variant.

Recipients of two doses show a decline in forecast protection against infection or any other type of illness.

However, the findings suggest that for Omicron, the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine should be given in three doses.

In addition, the vaccine makers said they plan to develop a new vaccine against Omicron by March 2022 at full speed.

Separate results from the initial research by the German Center for Infectious Diseases Research have found significant reductions in the antibody potency of Omizron to the Pfizer / Bioendech, Moderna and Oxford / Astrogenogen vaccines.

Pfizer’s data, released Tuesday, was the first to be released on the immune system’s ability to fight omicron.

Scientists tested the blood of 19 people who were injected with Pfizer / Bioentech for their ability to neutralize the Omigron variant, and compared it to a response to the previous corona virus.

They found a 25-fold reduction in blood neutralization against omicron. But complete immunity is not going away.

However the blood of those who received the three doses was found to have approximately the same potency against the omicron.
