The court overturned some of the quotation decisions and changed the judgment to dismissal in the case of a provisional injunction filed by Art Center Nabi director Noh So-young, who is in divorce proceedings with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, to block Chairman Choi from disposing of stocks. As a result, Chairman Choi was able to dispose of the stock, and Director Roh appealed.

Previously, in May 2020, Director Roh applied for a provisional injunction to the court asking for a temporary disposition (temporary disposition) to prevent the disposal of about 6.5 million shares of Chairman Choi in two securities companies.

In April of last year, the court partially cited and decided that “Chairman Choi’s 3.5 million SK stocks must not be transferred, pledged, or any other disposition.” Director Noh appealed against some of the quotation decisions.

Chairman Choi’s side also filed an objection against Director Roh’s request for a provisional injunction in February of last year. On December 20 of last year, the 33rd house of the same court made a decision to cancel the original decision. The content is that the decision to cite some of the existing provisional injunctions is canceled and Director Roh’s application for provisional injunction itself is dismissed.

This decision seems to have followed the results of the first trial judgment in the divorce lawsuit, which was previously made on the 9th of the same month.

The second housekeeping division of the Seoul Family Court, which was in charge of the first trial of the divorce lawsuit, ruled that Chairman Choi should pay 66.5 billion won to Director Roh for property division. The court ruled that Chairman Choi should also pay 100 million won to Director Roh in the name of alimony.

At the time, the court said, “It was difficult to see that Mr. Roh made substantial contributions to the formation and maintenance of SK stocks and the increase in value, so it was judged as a unique property and excluded from the subject of property division.” Only ‘s property was subject to division,” he explained.

Director Noh appealed in December of last year, dissatisfied with the verdict of the first trial, and appealed immediately in January last year, dissatisfied with the decision of the provisional injunction.
