London: Tributes were paid to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the Commonwealth Day celebrations in London. Commonwealth Day celebrations are held in London every year. Representatives from various countries will participate in it. Yesterday’s ceremony paid tribute to Commonwealth soldiers who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. Indian Ambassador to England Vikram Duraisamy and Indian Army officers participated in the ceremony presided over by King Charles III of England. 50 lakh soldiers from India, Africa and the Caribbean participated in the World War. In 2002, the late Queen Elizabeth opened a memorial built in London in honor of those who lost their lives. An annual tribute program is held every year for those who lost their lives in the World War.
