Renfe and the Miranda de Ebro City Council have presented a new initiative to promote digital training for various disadvantaged groups who need to update their knowledge of new technologies. These are the courses that will be taught at the Digital Competence Center (CCD) that LogiRAIL, a subsidiary of the operator, has in this town.

The objective of this training is to improve the knowledge of new technologies of specific groups such as unemployed women, long-term unemployed or people over 50 looking for a job, among others, to facilitate their reintegration into the labor market.

Candidates who are interested in taking part in these courses will have to have completed their high school studies and, although it is not necessary to have knowledge of programming, it is advisable to have some notions of computing as a user.

The Renfe CCD in Miranda de Ebro, where these courses will be taught, specializes in the maintenance of computer management applications and mobile applications. Since its launch in 2021, it has become a reference center in the digital transformation of Renfe and its businesses. At first, it began its activity with one of twenty people. Currently there are 49 professionals that make it up and it is expected that during 2023 the team will reach 60.

These facilities use SAP, Java, LifeRay, Android, IOS or ABAP technologies, among others, to offer agile responses to the company’s needs. From this center they are in charge of the maintenance and technological evolution of many of Renfe’s internal applications that support its business processes, as well as the Renfe website and the Intranet.

In the last six months, its work has been reinforced with the incorporation of new intelligent business services (Business Intelligence) and development of low code applications (low code) that operate with new technologies.
