AEGEAN and Olympic Air announced the cancellations of all scheduled domestic and international flights for Thursday, March 16, due to the participation of the Greek Air Traffic Controllers Union in the 24-hour general strike announced by ADEDY, in the wake of the crime in Tempe and the pandemic request for safe transportation.
An AEGEAN announcement states the following:
“Due to the participation of the Union of Air Traffic Controllers of Greece (EEEKE) in the 24-hour general strike announced by ADEDY on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 00:01 to 24:00 local time, AEGEAN and Olympic Air inform the passenger public that they are obliged to cancel all the scheduled flights of the domestic and foreign network.
An AEGEAN announcement clarifies that passengers with tickets on affected flights will receive a message from the company or from the respective travel agencies through which they purchased their tickets.
Passengers on all affected flights can change tickets without re-issuing costs and fare difference.
