Birthday greeting from the bereaved mother: Esti Yaniv, the mother of Yigal and Hillel Yaniv, the two brothers who live in Har Bracha, who were murdered in a shooting attack in Hvara about three weeks ago, published a chilling post on her Facebook account this evening (Tuesday) on the occasion of Yigal’s birthday, which was supposed to be celebrated today 20. “Good luck for a loved one. Yigal was a student of the Hesder Yeshiva in Givat Olga who enlisted in the Hesder course and helped at the beginning of the year in the establishment of the yeshiva branch in the Carmelite Temple. These days he was supposed to start the procedures for his combat enlistment in the IDF. He and his brother Hillel the 14th left behind their parents and three younger brothers.

After receiving the news about her sons’ murder, Esti shared her feelings in a recording for Har Bracha youth. “We received a tremendous slap in the face from God. We try to find the good things and the grace. We have a huge hole in our hearts, and nothing will close it. No construction, no demonstration, no nothing. Even if happiness in the family is a band-aid, the hole will remain and we will learn to live with it happily and continue,” said Esti.
