The newly established Government Medical College Hospital in Ariyalur in the last financial year 2021-22 was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin on January 12, 2022 through a video presentation. Following this, a ceremony was held yesterday to launch various medical services for public use at the Ariyalur Government Medical College Hospital under the orders of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin. On this occasion, Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister Udayanidhi Stalin came to Ariyalur by car from Trichy yesterday morning.
In connection with this, Minister Udayanidhi Stalin, who attended the function, inaugurated various medical services for public use at Ariyalur Government Medical College Hospital with 5 floors and 700 bedded facilities. He then opened the hospital’s outpatient department and inquired about the treatment offered to the public there. He also inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Accident and Emergency Medical Care Unit and visited the intensive care unit in this unit and inquired about the medical treatments.
NEET exam secret
Then Minister Udhayanithi Stalin spoke at the ceremony:-
I have visited Ariyalur for the first time after assuming charge as a minister. What I mentioned in the election campaign as the secret of ‘NEET’ examination, now the leader of the opposition Edappadi Palaniswami, what is it? He is criticizing that on every platform. As I said during the election campaign, in my maiden speech in the Assembly, I said that a stadium should be built in the name of Anita, who took her own life fighting the ‘NEET’ examination.
Currently, as per the order of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the stadium constructed at the cost of Rs.22 crore in the Ariyalur Government Medical College campus is being named after Sister Anitha. Whenever we see this, we remember our struggle for the ‘NEET’ exam. When I met the Prime Minister recently, my first demand was to cancel the ‘NEET’ exam. To that Prime Minister Modi took the requirements for the ‘NEET’ examination and said.
The legal battle will continue
But I and students in Tamil Nadu did not accept ‘NEET’ exam. DMK will continue the legal struggle until the ‘NEET’ exam is cancelled. I have said that it will continue. In Tamil Nadu, 250 crore trips have been made in the free bus travel for women under the government’s schemes. 2 lakh girl students have benefited from Pudumai Bhin Scheme. 1 Crore and 10 thousand people have benefited from the Home Seeking Medicine programme.
Similarly, people are benefiting from various programs like breakfast program for government primary school students, Innui Kakum 48 program, home search education program. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has made Tamil Nadu the number one state in India. Currently Tamil Nadu has earned the pride of being the number one growing state in India.

Anita Memorial Hall
Following this, he provided free textbooks, laboratory equipment and medical equipment to 10 students of 7.5 percent quota government schools studying medicine in the Government Medical College Hospital. Subsequently, he provided welfare assistance worth Rs.13 crore, 68 lakh, 55 thousand and 250 to 2,539 beneficiaries on behalf of various government departments.
In this case, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin announced yesterday morning that the 850-seated stadium in the Ariyalur Government Medical College campus will be named ‘Anita Memorial Stadium’ at an estimated cost of Rs.22 crore. Immediately after this, Minister Udhayanidhi opened a plaque with the name ‘Anita Memorial Hall’ at the stadium set up in the Stalin Medical College campus and visited the hall.
