Lavrov stressed that Russia does not take such an attitude towards its partners

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized that the advance of NATO military infrastructure towards Asia and the establishment of the US, UK and Australia’s triple defense alliance (AUKUS) laid the groundwork for the confrontation to continue for many years.

Speaking at an event in Moscow, Lavrov said, “The Anglo-Saxon world is making a very serious attempt for a long-term confrontation through the creation of blocs like AUKUS and the advancement of NATO military infrastructure to Asia.”

Noting that he could not imagine how the great Asian civilizations would immediately take the main stance against the Western powers and how the Washington and other Anglo-Saxon politicians would implement their plans obediently, as the EU countries did, Lavrov emphasized that Russia does not have such an attitude towards its partners.

“We are not trying to deter anyone from realizing their legitimate interests. But when they say that the whole world, for example, should be subordinated to the North Atlantic Alliance, I do not think that the inherent sense of justice of the Russian people and of the vast majority of all world civilizations should remain silent,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.
