Getting stronger: “Nofer Energy” continues to increase its holdings in Sunprime

“Nofer Energy” continues to realize the company’s strategy to increase the holding rates in the development platforms around the world, leading the management and controlling the platforms. The company announced this morning (Wednesday) that it entered into an agreement through its subsidiary Andromeda to increase its holdings in the Italian company Sunprime.

According to the signed investment and loan agreements, after placing and converting the owner’s loans, Andromeda’s holdings in Sunprime will increase to 60%. As part of the signed agreements, Andromeda will convert owner loans that have already been granted in the amount of 22.5 million euros, and will provide a future converted owner loan in the amount of up to 17.5 million euros.

The Sunprime Group, one of the leading C&I players in Italy, is engaged in the initiation, development, construction and holding of solar projects on rooftops and land in Italy. The group has a backlog of solar projects with a total capacity of about 475 megawatts, of which: about 37 megawatts are projects connected or ready to be connected and about 167 megawatts are under construction or about to be built, which have won the centers of the Italian Electricity Administration a high guaranteed rate for 20 years.

Since the entry of Nofer Energy and Keren Noi into Sunprime, the latter has won a significant share of the capacity allocated in the tender procedures carried out by the Italian Electricity Services Manager, which grant the winners a high guaranteed rate, in the amount of up to 102 euros per MW hour for a period of 20 years.

In addition, last year Sunprime and corporations held by Sunprime entered into a framework agreement to receive senior financing in the amount of up to 150 million euros, which will be used to establish solar projects with an estimated capacity of approximately 216 megawatts.
