Children under 12 die in Torreón; authorities investigate the case

The report of an unconscious minor who had fallen approximately 1.5 meters high mobilized the emergency services on Tuesday afternoon, who unfortunately located the 12-year-old girl lifeless. Everything indicates that she died of natural causes.

The emergency was registered at an address located on Pablo Coello street in the Villas San Agustín neighborhood of Torreón.

Relatives and neighbors of the minor were the ones who contacted the state emergency line to request an ambulancesince there was an unconscious minor.

Elements of the Municipal Public Security Directorate arrived at the address, as well as paramedics from the State Emergency Medical Care System (SAMU) who, when taking the vital signs of the girl, found that she had already died.

The area was protected by preventive agents who awaited the arrival of the staff of the Criminal Investigation Agency, expert agents from the Expert Services unit, as well as the investigating agent of the Public Ministry of the Laguna I Delegation of the Coahuila State Attorney General’s Office.

Before the authority the girl was identified with the name of 12-year-old Lesly. The family explained that the now deceased and her little brother were in the care of their older sister and that at a certain moment Lesly, while sitting in an armchair, began to feel bad when she suddenly fainted and fell backwards to the floor without reacting further.

The eldest of the three siblings tried to help her and when she saw that she did not react, she asked her grandmother for help. was at his home, located in front of his house, so she ran to ask for help, the woman requested 911 support and performed maneuvers for her granddaughter to react, without imagining that the girl had already lost her life.

The authority did not appreciate traces of violence on the body of the minor and according to the medical report everything indicates that the little girl suffered from obesity and probable diabeteswhich is why the possibility that he suffered a heart attack or diabetic coma that caused instant death is not discharged.

The corpse was transferred to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for the practice of the rigorous necropsy with which the formal cause of death will be determined, with the authority as the first line of investigation a death from natural causes.
