According to reports, senior political figures pressed in the last day to leave under wraps the unusual security affair, which began with the detonation of the large explosive device near the Megiddo junction, while senior IDF officers recommended releasing the information to the public as early as yesterday.

The security officials who support the removal of the blackout claim that the rumor mill spread in the last day in the public only causes damage and panic, while the event ended in a big way.

MK Danny Danon (Likud) called for the removal of the blackout order and said: “The media blackout on the serious security incident is unnecessary and does not contribute now. The time has come to remove the blackout order, reveal the details to the public and decide on a decisive response against our enemies who have crossed red lines.”

The security affair: Netanyahu met with Gallant and cut short his visit to Berlin

Additionally, The Prime Minister shortened his visit to Berlin – Germany, so that instead of two days he will stay only one night in Germany and return to Israel on Thursday evening.
