The breakdown is linked to “a malfunction in the power supply of one of our data centers in Île-de-France, it is not the result of a strike action or a power cut”, explains to the Parisian a spokesperson for Orange France.

In the middle of the afternoon, the group ensured that the TV services were operational again but access to Orange messaging was still disrupted. “The emails sent and received during this incident will be gradually delivered as soon as services resume, still in the process of being restored”, it was specified at 4 p.m. At the same time, some mobiles were still experiencing “some disturbances”.

The grumbling of users

The return to normal should therefore be gradual by the end of the day.
