This Friday, March 17, it opens exclusively in theaters The stranger (Watcher), the new film directed by Chloe Okuno (V/H/S 94) and starring Maika Monroe (It follows). The film, which hits theaters after passing through the latest edition of the Sitges Film Festival y su first in Sundance 2022tells the story of a lonely woman who feels watched and persecuted by a mysterious figure.
Synopsis of THE STRANGER
Julia reunites with her husband when he moves to his native Romania to start a new job. She has recently left the acting profession, and often she is alone and with nothing to do. One night, while she is watching the people on the street from her large window, she discovers a figure in the building across the street who appears to be watching her.
A few days later, alone in a movie theater, she has a strong feeling that someone is watching her, and it doesn’t take long for her to convince herself that she is being followed. Could it be that unknown neighbor? Meanwhile, a serial killer called “The Spider” threatens the city.
