“I refuse to take the blame!” Gloria Grevtsova announces that she is leaving the party “For Stability!”

Grevcova announced her decision on the “TikTok” website, thanks to which she earned a large part of her recognition during the primaries and the first working months of the 14th Saeima.

“From now on, I will continue my work in the Saeima as an independent deputy. My political position has not changed. I became interested in politics during the so-called covid-affair,” Grevcova said in a video address.

She called herself an ordinary person who defends the rights of ordinary people: “Yes indeed – I have worked as an ordinary firewood collector and I have a secondary education, which I also stated in my application [kas tika iesniegta CVK], but strangely the data was changed. But I don’t want to and I refuse to take the blame for another person’s actions!”

With such a message, Grevtsova is, of course, criticizing her party member for the scandal related to the document in which false information was provided to the Central Election Committee.

Grevtsova claims that she is determined to defend ordinary people “against the evil that is in our country” and “to defend herself to the fullest.”

It should be noted that after the recent court verdict in the first instance, in which Grevtsova was sentenced to 160 hours of community service for lying to the Central Committee, the leader of her party, Alexey Roslikov, made a completely unexpected announcement.

Evaluating the sentence handed down by the court to Grevtsova, Roslikov pointed out that the judge who evaluated the party member’s case is very objective.

“Absolutely all lawyers say that this is a very competent professional. Therefore, it is quite difficult to question his decision,” said the politician, adding that if Grevtsova continues the legal proceedings, the party will definitely support her.

When asked whether Grevtsova should not resign as a deputy, Roslikov emphasized that, in his opinion, it would be important for Grevtsova to understand where she stands and what promises she made to her voters.

“If the voter believes that she has the right to continue fighting for her justice, then she can continue to do so,” said the politician, adding that on March 15, the faction will discuss the issue of legal proceedings with Grevtsova.
