Tricolor Basketball is one of the highlights of the next edition of the Game of the Stars, which takes place from this Friday, at the UniBH Arena, in Belo Horizonte. The event brings together the main active players in Brazilian basketball. São Paulo will be represented by Shamell, Tyrone, Bennett, Miller, Elinho, Túlio da Silva and Coelho.
Tyrone, who is recovering from surgery on his right ankle, will captain the foreign team. In his team, he “recruited” American colleagues Bennett and Miller. Shamell is the legend of the team and will also participate in the event.
Among the Brazilians, Elinho and Túlio da Silva were called to play in the team captained by Lucas Dias. Coelho will also participate in the event, but he will be one of the participants in the skills challenge.
Miller will compete in the three-point shooting challenge. Túlio was going to participate in the dunking event, but he has a small injury to his hand and chose not to compete.
This Friday, at 7 pm, the individual challenges will be held – the Skills Tournament, the Three Points and the Slam Dunks. The games with the main Brazilian basketball athletes will take place on Saturday.
Starting at 3 pm, the semifinals and finals of the tournament will be played, which will be broadcast by Cultura, ESPN, Sportv and NBB Youtube. The semifinals will have Tyrone’s team against the rookies. In the other game, Lucas Dias’ team (which includes Elinho) will face Olivinha’s team.
São Paulo returns to the court on the 30th, to face São José, at 7:15 pm, at Teatrão stadium, away from home.
