Palakkad: The superintendent of Attappadi Kottathara Tribal Hospital, Dr. Prabhudas was transferred. He was shifted to Tirurangadi Taluk Hospital. The move comes amid criticism of the health minister. The health secretary explained that the move was for administrative convenience.
Kottambara Hospital is headed by Pattambi Taluk Hospital Superintendent Mohammad Abdul Rahman.
Prabhudas had alleged that the government only considered Attappady when there were infant deaths. The statement came after a visit by Health Minister Veena George. Prabhudas told the media that several members of the hospital management committee were demanding bribes to change the bills and that the move against him was an attempt to stop it.
He had said that during his visit to Attappady, Minister Veena George had deliberately replaced himself as the Attappady Nodal Officer.
