Activity to inventory and learn about the biodiversity of the Montes de Málaga Natural Park.

Goals:

  • Raise awareness and sensitize about the ecological, fauna and forest values ​​of the Montes de Málaga Natural Park.
  • Value the potential of the Park to carry out naturalistic studies.
  • Introduce those present to the existing biodiversity in the Natural Park, as well as learn to identify flora and fauna through observation.
  • Learn about the life cycle of different animals and plants, the most important species and their importance in the ecosystem.
  • Discover new routes to practice interpretive hiking.
  • Know how nature inventories are used and carried out; Know tools to study the environment such as field notebooks.
  • Know the importance of ordinary citizens in biodiversity studies. Discover different ways of inventorying nature. Get to know mobile applications such as iNaturalist or Observation.

Hours: 09:00-17:00

Start and end point: El cerrado recreational area, in the Montes Málaga Natural Park. (Malaga).

Type of itinerary: circular. Distance: approximately 6km. Physical difficulty: medium-high.

Free activity with picnic included.

Program

09:00-09:30 Arrival at the meeting point. Presentation of the program and activity, attendance signature. Distribution of breakfast menu.

09:30-14:00 Start of the workshop. Presentation of the workshop, introductory talk to know the route to follow during the Conference and start of the itinerary.

2:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Break for lunch.

2:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. continue with the route

5:00 p.m. End of activity.
