by time news

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met yesterday (Thursday) with over 30 of the senior managers of the German defense industry in the fields of land, air, sea and space, and the economic, industrial and defense organizations.

The meeting took place after the successful meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu and German Chancellor Olaf Schulz, in which the shared security challenges in the coming period were discussed, among other things, and is part of the emphasis on the security arena that led the Prime Minister’s visit to Berlin.

During the closed event for the German business elite, the Prime Minister shared Israel’s many years of experience in the security arena and spoke about the importance of the special relations between Germany, Israel and Europe at this time. A large part of the conversation was devoted to the possibilities for cooperation between the countries through the industries in the defense arena in Germany as well as in Europe as a whole.

Cooperation between German and Israeli industrialists in the field of security is critical, since in Germany, Israeli industry cannot operate without a local company. Another point is the war in Ukraine, which is a catalyst for defense procurement in Europe. In this context, German defense industries with strong marketing in Europe can serve as an income channel for Israeli defense industries through collaborations.
