New Delhi: The central government has clarified that there is no scientific evidence that the corona vaccine is the cause of sudden heart attacks. The health ministry recently informed the Rajya Sabha that 28.1 percent of the total deaths in India are due to heart attacks. That is, according to the ICMR study reports, the death rate due to heart attacks increased from 15.2 percent in 1990 to 28.1 percent in 2023.
According to studies conducted in 2017-18, 32.8 per cent of daily smokers, 15.9 per cent of alcoholics and 41.3 per cent of those with insufficient physical activity die from heart attacks. The Department of Health had informed that death due to heart attack has increased significantly in the age group of 30 to 60 years.

In this situation, information such as the corona vaccine is the reason for the increase in heart attack spread. In this regard, Janata Dal MP Raju Ranjan Singh raised a question in the Lok Sabha.
In a written reply to this, Minister of State for Health Bharti Praveen said, “There is no scientific evidence that the corona vaccine is the cause of sudden cardiac arrest. There is no data on the incidence of heart attacks after the corona period. ICMR has not conducted any research on it’, he said.
