News from Angola – A group of 35 women from the fields of culture, business, journalism and the entertainment world yesterday took an aerial tour of the skies of Luanda aboard Fly Angola, in celebration of “Março Mulher”.

The guests and representatives of the airline made a toast at 24,000 feet above the capital, in a symbolic gesture intended to honor and encourage Angolan women to fly ever higher.

Fly Angola joined the “March Woman” celebrations, with an exclusive air tour for very special passengers. For half an hour, 35 women from national society flew over the city of Luanda, in celebration of female empowerment and the decisive role of Angolan women in the country’s development.

To mark this moment, the guests and Fly Angola made an emotional toast at 24,000 feet above the capital, a symbolic act with which the airline sealed the tribute to one of the great engines of the country, which is the Angolan woman .

Enthusiastic “with an aerial tour that also highlighted Luanda’s tourist potential”, journalist and actress Aminata Goubel highlighted the “diversity of the guests”. “Fly Angola was careful to invite women from various social strata and areas, making this flight a meeting between people with different ways of being and thinking”, she commented. “Each one of us brought her perfume to this meeting and that is very valuable to celebrate our union”.

“When we want it, we get it”, also decreed Mell Chaves, “gratefully surprised” by the “innovative way in which Fly Angola honored Angolan women”. For the journalist and digital influencer, “this flight will leave a very beautiful memory in all of us, because it reinforces companionship, solidarity and empathy between women, and emphasizes the idea that it is essential to believe in our potential”.

In line with the emotions experienced by the guests, Mónica Cristino, Commercial Director of Fly Angola, highlights that the initiative “was a great celebration for women”. “We made a point of putting together a group of women that represented the various fringes of society. Lawyers, businesswomen, Presidents of Boards of Directors, personal secretaries, representatives of institutions and the government flew with us, which created a diverse environment that valued the role of women in our country”, she indicated.

In this initiative, she continued, “the idea was transmitted that we, women, are the bridge between the past and the future; between dreams and the ability to make them happen; between the hardness of the challenges and the joy of the conquests. We are the light, whether in the skies where we fly together today, or with our feet firmly on the ground. We generate life and fulfill dreams. We carry the strength, perseverance and conviction of changing the female paradigm in the world. This is our mission.”

Today’s air tour precedes “other actions aimed at women, which Fly Angola will promote this year”, added Mónica Cristino.

Fly Angola was founded in August 2018 by a group of Angolan businessmen and had its inaugural flight in September of the same year.
