The worker will be able to withdraw the FGTS (Indemnity Fund for Length of Service) this March. To do this, you must join the birthday withdrawal.
Also this month, those born in January and February will be able to make the birthday withdrawal.
The birthday withdrawal allows the worker to withdraw part of the FGTS once a year, in the month of his birthday. When you join the birthday withdrawal, you will not be able to withdraw the total balance of your FGTS account, if you are fired without just cause, according to current rules.
The worker is not obliged to opt for the birthday withdrawal, he will only leave the withdrawal-termination option if he so wishes.
How does the FGTS birthday withdrawal work?
Remembering that the FGTS birthday withdrawal is optional, however, those who wish to join the withdrawal can download the FGTS app, access the Caixa Econômica Federal portal and, finally, go straight to a bank branch.
Remembering that other FGTS benefits, such as in case of retirement, illness or property acquisition, are not interfered with the birthday withdrawal.
Birthday withdrawal calendar
The birthday withdrawal is released in the worker’s birthday month, so he will have the month of his birthday and the following two months to redeem the benefit.
The amount must be transferred to an account owned by the worker during the period indicated.
Amount of the birthday withdrawal
The value of the annual withdrawal in this modality is determined by the application of a rate, which varies from 5% to 50% on the sum of all balances in the worker’s FGTS accounts, plus an additional installment, as set out in Law 8036. /90. Check the table:
