Dindigul, : In Dindigul district, there was no shortage as milk producers supplied milk to Aavin.

On behalf of the milk producers, as there was no agreement in the talks with the department minister regarding raising the purchase price, they started protesting against sending milk to Aavin. In many districts milk producers went on strike and there was shortage of milk, but in Dindigul district milk producers gave milk to Aavin as usual. Officials informed that there was no shortage due to this.

Ilangovan, General Manager, Dindigul: There is no shortage of milk in Dindigul district. Daily milk producers also delivered milk yesterday.

The work was done without any problems. In some other districts milk producers are on strike and there is shortage of milk there.

Rajaratnam, former district president of Milk Producers’ Association, Kujiliamparai: As far as Dindigul is concerned, milk producers sent milk to Aavin as usual.

Protests have not been announced at the state level yet. Protests are going on in some districts. If protest is announced, we will stop sending milk, he said.

Ready to fight

Ramasamy, District President, Milk Producers Association, Thoppampatti: There is no protest in Dindigul district. As usual we are offering milk to Aavin. We have put our demands to the government. We are ready to fight if it is not fulfilled.
