ASUS continues to present models of motherboards to cover the requirements of all types of users. This time comes the answer to those seeking to enter the middle segment with STRIX in B760 for new processors Intel but at a reasonable price and with support for DDR4.
True to style, this motherboard is protected by the classic PRIME aesthetic with gray as a base and white accents, showing its design on the front and its main features and technical specifications on the back.

In the box the manufacturer includes the following items
- Antenna Wi-Fi + BT
- replacement thermalpad
- 2 Cables SATA III
- Bolts for M.2 drives
- cintillos
- User’s manual
- ASUS WebStorage Promotion
- ROG Pegatinas
- special keychain
- Welcome note to the ROG family
The colors black, gray and white accents are what first grab our attention on this motherboard. Its design in general is very similar to that seen in the previous generation, although with details that give it a fresher and more modern look. And it is in these details where we see small ROG drawings referring to video games.
As we well know, this model has an LGA 1700 socket that supports the new Raptor Lake processors, that is, Intel’s 13th generation. But it is also possible to use the 12th generation processors if we wish.
As for memory support, this board supports up to 128GB with speeds of 5333 Mhz in DDR4 under the Dual Channel configuration, which is usual in this range. This detail is critical if we want to build a team with a price / performance balance.
Taking a closer look at the expansion issue, we find 2 PCIe ports of which only the first x16 works with the PCIe 5.0 protocol and the second x8 in PCIe 4.0. We also find 2 PCIe x1 ports.
The support for M.2 drives is found in three places on this motherboard: the first directly under the processor socket and which is also cooled thanks to the aluminum piece with a thermal pad. And the 2 additional ones at the bottom where it also includes a heatsink with a design according to the motherboard.
And we also see the quick release button of the first PCIe slot.
We also find the traditional SATA ports, which on this occasion are 4 available.
Regarding connectivity we have:
- 1 x HDMI Port
- 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2
- 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 1
- 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C
- 4 x USB 2.0
- 1 x LAN2.5Gb Ethernet
- Intel Wi-Fi 6E
- Flash Back Bios Button
- 5 x Audio Jack
For the comparison we will use the average of the previous platforms that we have reviewed. On the component side we will use Kingston memories, SSD from WD, NVIDIA graphics card, and ASUS power supply. Everything is detailed below:
Plataforma Intel Alder Lake |

The Benches that we have provided for this session are:
7-Zip
CINEBENCH R23
Next, we will use the Cinebench Software created by Maxon, which is highly recognized in the film world since it is also used to create 3D content. This test is based on the CPU that saturates our processor. The result is expressed in points, which means that the more the better.
BLENDER BENCHMARK
The ASUS ROG STRIX B760-A Gaming WiFi D4 remains an excellent alternative for everyone looking to build a white-themed computer at an affordable price, but without depriving us of essential features today. Having a large number of Slots for M.2, PCIe drives and even support for up to 128GB of memory, it allows us to be able to do better over time.
Now, it would have been a hoot if the PCB was also white, but you can’t have everything in life, they say. What we do have is a motherboard at a good price (285 USD approx.), with excellent performance and above all with an impeccable design characteristic of ROG Strix.
