More than 7,800 fish released into the rivers

The Ras El Ma fish farming station in Ifrane, under the National Hydrobiology and Fish Farming Center (CNHP) recently launched its annual rainbow trout dumping program.
More than 7,800 catchable fish were released as part of an operation which comes on the eve of the official opening of the fishing season in continental waters in Morocco, scheduled for Sunday, March 19.
As part of this program, the Ras El Ma Station dumped 3,000 rainbow trout into the Amghass 2 water body and 4,000 other species of salmonids into the various rivers of the Kingdom, including Oued Ouaoumana, Oued Ait Bouarbi, Oued Zaouit Ifrane, Oued Bekrit, Oued Huigou, Oued Oum Ribia, Oued Chbouka and Oued Tizguite.
The same is true for 800 large species of rainbow trout dumped in the dams of Ait Lhaj (province of Midelt) and Ouarg J’Dide (province of Marrakech).
