Just before the match between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Be’er Jerusalem at the Teddy Stadium this evening (Saturday, 19:30), Reds CEO Liran Mokhtar submitted an official letter to the Israel Police, with copies to the Directorate of Leagues and the Football Association, in order to change the police’s decision on banning cheering equipment for the game

The Jerusalem Metropolitan Police has prohibited the introduction of cheering equipment of any kind, including drums and fence signs, even though they do not pose a real danger and can be easily checked: “We hope that by the time the game starts this decision will be changed and the introduction of the equipment will be allowed,” the club said.

The red team comes to the game after the disappointment suffered in the 1:0 loss against Maccabi Haifa. Even earlier, it managed to smile a little after 12 games without a win, when it recorded two victories over Kiryat Shmona and Beitar Jerusalem. In between, there was another loss to MS Ashdod.

In the last meeting between the two, Hapoel Tel Aviv achieved a great victory 1:3 with ten players in Teddy. Earlier in the season, the Reds won at home 1:2, as the Jerusalemites, for their part, have not registered a victory in the confrontation between the teams since 2020.
