A police officer was injured in one hand after being robbed and chasing two thieves who stole his cell phone, one of whom managed to escape in the Granjas de Horizonte neighborhood, in the city of Córdoba, according to official sources.
The episode happened around 5:40 a.m. when the corporal, who works at the Citizen Communications and Video Surveillance Center Directorate, was on duty with his girlfriend (21) and two other young people in José Garibaldi y de Los Yugoeslavos, in the San Martin.
Robbery, escape and arrest
They were surprised by two suspects who were driving a Honda CG190. Through threats with a firearm, they take the policeman’s cell phone to flee.
The cash began to chase them in his Volkswagen Gol and, in Álvarez de Toledo at 7245, he collided with the thieves who were on the stolen motorcycle in October. One of the criminals, according to the police version, fired shots into the air.
Later, one of them escaped and the other, 16 years old, was captured by neighbors until the arrival of the Police.
Finally, the corporal was injured in his right hand and was transferred to the Police Polyclinic.
