The Castellón Provincial Council has approved the bases governing a line of subsidies aimed at Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) centers to carry out physical activities in the natural environment. The aid has an economic item of 100,000 euros and can be used for the cost of transport and technical assistance for the activity to be carried out. This initiative replaces the ‘Recorre Castelló’ program and increases its item by 9,000 euros. Aid can be requested until November 17.

The deputy for Sports, Tania Baños, has stressed that the objective is “to bring students closer to the practice of activities in all the regions of the province.” Likewise, Baños has pointed out that the province of Castelló “has ideal characteristics for carrying out all kinds of activities, which is why, with this initiative, we encourage many boys and girls to live very rewarding sports experiences.”

It should be noted that the bases are developed within the framework of the Strategic Subsidies Plan of the Castellón Provincial Council for the 2023-2025 triennium, in which they are set for the Sports Service as strategic objectives in sports matters to promote the promotion of sport and physical activity in the municipalities of the province of Castellón and promote the province as an ideal territory for holding sporting events throughout the year.

The aid will allocate an item to pay for the transportation that is necessary to carry out those activities that are planned and, in addition, there is another item designated for technical assistance for sports programs.
