Citroën Ami goes viral after crashing on one of the streets of Monaco

by time news

The Citroen Ami is one of the friendliest strollers on the world market with the potential to be sold in the Brazilian market, being electric and offered through a different subscription plan in Europe.

Unlike common electric cars, the Ami is a low-speed vehicle of 45 km/h and can even be driven by minors in some countries.

However, the fact here is that an example of the Ami came at considerable speed and simply overturned on the curve of the Grand Hotel Hairpin, in the Principality of Monaco.

Known in Formula 1 races, the famous Monegasque curve is one of the most emblematic places in the city-state, however, it is a very tight curve.

At that, a video went viral on social media with a Citroën Ami entering the Hairpin curve and overturning even before reaching the middle of the curve.

The Twitter user World Bollard Association published the video where Ami falls on the curve, to the astonishment of some people present in front of the Grand Hotel.

The little one skids, falls and slides across the asphalt, hitting one of the pillars protecting the entrance to the Grand Hotel Hairpin.

He crashes into one and then another small pole, coming to rest on his side. It is not known how many people would be on board, but the Ami can take up to two.

In another image, the one that really went viral on social media, Ami enters the curve and quickly falls, hitting the pillars, also revealing the user mentioned in the image, since he was close to where the car crashed.

The Ami is supposed to have entered the corner at or above 45 km/h, so its suspension and high body lean quickly.

But, does it fall easily? In a video from the Fifth Gear channel, the Ami is taken to a circuit with a very winding track and in one of the curves, it leans so much that it is supported on two wheels, to the surprise of the occupants.
