The Saudi Railways (SAR), a leader in transportation and logistics services, and the Italian Arsenal Group, the world leader in the development and management of luxury hotels, and specialized in launching luxury train trips, signed a memorandum of understanding to launch a luxury tourist train service within the Kingdom, for the first time in the Middle East. The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Saudi Railways, CEO of the company, Dr. Bashar bin Khaled Al-Malik, while it was signed by Mr. Paolo Barletta, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors, on behalf of the Arsenal Group. The MoU stems from the utmost importance that SAR attaches to the tourism and cultural affairs in the Kingdom, as it adds an important tourist and leisure option to its list of services provided to its customers, with the aim of enhancing the overall national tourism goals, and providing an opportunity for visitors and residents of the Kingdom to discover more tourist attractions that it enjoys. Kingdom, within an integrated framework of luxury and luxury transportation services.
According to the memorandum of understanding announced between SAR and the Arsenal Group, SAR will undertake all operational services that follow the project, represented in the operation and availability of locomotives, energy supplies, and managing the relationship with suppliers, in addition to cleaning, maintenance, track insurance, fuel supply, And all accompanying hospitality services during the trip. The Arsenal Group will also undertake all pre-opening services such as manufacturing rail cars, marketing the project, information technology systems, providing hospitality and reservation services, determining the itinerary and others.
