Dhaka: 19 people were killed when a bus overturned in a roadside ditch in Bangladesh. 30 people were injured.
In our neighboring country Bangladesh yesterday, a bus traveling from Khulna to Dhaka overturned in a 30-feet deep ditch on the side of the road when it reached Qutubpur area in Shipsar Upazila of Madaripur district.
In this accident, 1 person was crushed to death on the spot. Also, three died on the way to the hospital. More than 30 people were injured in the accident.
In the initial investigation of the accident, the police said that the accident may have occurred because the bus was coming at high speed.
It is also said that the bus lost control due to a flat tire.
The police said that a detailed investigation has been ordered.
It is noteworthy that Bangladesh is one of the South Asian countries that suffers from worst road accidents.
